Short Abstact
Deep Learning is an unprecedented technological advance in the field of AI. Sometimes called a connectionist approach (because it is made up of connected neural networks), deep learning consists of teaching a machine to perform tasks (for example: recognizing objects in images) by training it on data from the area concerned (for example, images that include cars). Deep Learning consists of algorithms that detect and process huge volumes and complex data structures. The artificial neural network resembling human thought learns from examples (experiences) and adapts to new and current information.
Many applications then emerged and many fields then called on this new technology (medicine, biology, botany, agriculture, chemistry, physics, etc.). We are still far from the empire of machines, but Deep Learning has achieved impressive results today and still holds many advantages. However, it is the man who continues to carry out the essential work and to program these intelligent machines which will very likely replace him.
In this seminar, we present the genesis of AI from the first seed sown by Alain Turing to the cutting-edge technology of machine learning (Deep Learning). Following this, we will discuss some applications where Deep Learning has helped to provide solutions to complex problems such as medicine, biology, agriculture, etc.
